Here is part 1 of my Weight Loss Transformation๐๐ผ. Rewind back to early 2014, I was depressed, unmotivated and on the verge of some serious health problems ๐ฐ. Having already experienced regular heart palpitations ๐ I started to research losing weight, knowing that the stereotypical calorie restriction diet had never worked for me, as I hated starving myself and loved eating till I was satisfied (which is natural). I knew I needed to try something alternative, so I scoured the web and at first I found “juice fasting” ๐น and tried it for around 2 days and felt starved, tired and hated the juices ๐ซ. I then watched the documentary “Forks over Knives” and learned all about a Plant-based diet ๐ฑ. I found several YouTube channels ๐ฅ including Freelee the Banana Girl and Durianrider, I started to binge watch them and was amazed at the benefits of their Plant-based lifestyle๐ฑ๐ฎ. Ofc at first I thought they were both crazy ๐ but I went in with an open mind and did my research. I fell in love with the idea of becoming healthy, losing weight while not restricting and decided to commit to it properly as I knew it would be a lifestyle rather than a fad diet. After Easter, 28th April 2014 I made the transition to the Raw till 4 Plant-based lifestyle๐ฑ. At first weight loss was quick and I lost 5kg in a couple of weeks but it started to slow down. I felt better by the day, but still lacked weight loss. I got myself a bicycle ๐ด, mainly thanks to Durianrider and I started to go on rides. I went to Thailand for the Thai fruit festival ๐๐น๐ญ๐ and with my increased activity despite eating all I wanted of low fat, Plant-based foods the weight started to fly off! ✈️ I really upped my cycling and with it I gained fitness and lost weight using several tricks that don’t involve calorie restriction or burning out. Today I feel amazing, vibrant and 10 years younger ๐ I have cured my asthma, depression, high blood pressure and much more!
