I am 20 years old, 5'6"
There is about a 2-3 year difference between these pictures (I am 160lbs on the left and 135lbs on the right). Lately I’ve been feeling like I haven’t been making too much progress, but looking at these side by side helps motivate me to keep going and striving to reach my goals.
Some things I’ve done to change up my lifestyle are:
- 30 min. of cardio at least 3x a week
- Blogilates and Fit Girls Guide strength training exercises
- “Grazing” throughout the day (eating 5-6 mini meals like apples or celery with peanut butter, greek yogurt w/ fruit, trail mix, chicken and veggies, protein bars/shakes, smoothies, etc.)
- Drink lots of water!
- Aim to get 6-8 hours of sleep!
Obviously it takes time to form new habits, and I’m still working on controlling my dessert impulses. I definitely still love my ice cream and cookies, but everything’s better in moderation! It’s been a long and difficult journey, but I’ve learned to never give up on myself. We’re all capable of reaching our goals! Hopefully I’ll be posting more progress pics by summer time :)
