Diet and exercise strategy:
I have been notorious for setting a goal, especially a new years resolution, to lose weight. In high school I weighed 135lbs. However, I was more determined than ever as I am approaching my graduation from graduate school to get back close to where I was in high school.
I lost roughly 23 pounds in 8 weeks. I accomplished this through tracking my macronutrients, adjusting them every week or so based on my new weight. I also lifted weights in a progressive program 4x a week and included 30-40 minutes of cardio 5x a week. Motivation is tough to come by, and sometimes you have to be your own motivation. What helped me the most was taking before and during pictures and comparing them, seeing all the progress I had made. I am so much happier and stronger now!! :)
