Top: Dec 2015 - Dangerously close to a panic attack at Forever 21 while shopping for a New Years Eve dress (why on earth do they make the lighting so awful?!), eating ¾ of a Kroger family size box of mac & cheese for dinner with 5 cookies for dessert, desperately afraid to try to be healthy because of a decades history of eating disorders/anxiety spotted by treatment centers.
Bottom: March 2016 - Taking responsibility for myself, about 10 days into my actual healthier life, feeling so much stronger, running for miles nearly everyday, clearer skin and far more energy, roughly tracking calories to make sure I’m eating enough because FOOD IS DELICIOUS FUEL!, learning that if you eat well enough most of the time you can, in fact, enjoy that cheesecake donut!, ENGAGED!!!
I have no idea the difference in physical numbers between the top and bottom but I know the mental difference is night and day! I can run 4 miles in 41 mins without stopping and I’m facing my fears while in week 2 of marathon training!
I eat half an avocado nearly everyday and things that nourish me.
I now find emotional support in honesty with those who love me and relying on my faith. I’m reminded daily that the holes in my heart and soul are far too big for my stomach to take care of.
You can do it <3 you can succeed!
You have always been beautiful, now you’re just trying to be healthier :)
