It’s easy to look in the mirror and feel discouraged because you don’t see a big change from the day before. It’s those days that you need to look back at where you were when you started, and how much you have changed since then. It’s those days that you need to remind yourself that the choices you make on a day to day basis are going to shape who you are in the future, remind yourself that what you really want doesn’t always come easy, and ALWAYS remind yourself of what a badass you really are.
Almost a year ago was when I made the decision to start taking better care of my body. It has not been a straight path. There have been days, weeks, and months that I lost motivation to keep myself on track. I’ve lost, gained, re-lost, re-gained, plateaued, and re-lost again. But looking back I can say that I’m at a much better place than I was when I started, and for that I am happy, and very proud of myself.
