I’m 5'0

This is 145-114.

It’s taken me 3 months to lose 20 pounds. The other 10 was before I started trying and came off over a couple of years.

Wow. I never thought I’d actually lose weight. For 3 years I have been trying. Waking up and truly believing that it was the day I was finally going to do it. Yet always failing in some way. The day I finally did it was the exact same as all the other days. I don’t know what made it so special. There was no magical “ah ha” moment. I just did it. I counted calories, weighed my food, and ate what I wanted as long as it fit into my goal. I started moving more, and trying to slowly change what I ate (although I still don’t eat very healthy,  which is my next goal).

Some how I’ve made it this far and I’m astonished every day at my progress. It seems like it’s been so simple…. yet it somehow took me 3 years.

I can’t give you the motivation you need to lose weight if that’s the reason you are reading this. But this blog definitely helped me to stay on track. So if you are at that stage where you are giving up, just know I was there too. You CAN do it. I’m a very big supporter of counting calories, but you need to find the method that works best for YOU. At the end of the day it will always be calories in, calories out but if you do better on a low carb diet then you need to do whatever is going to get you in the right mind set.
