I’ve been on a weight loss journey since high school. When I was a freshman, my heaviest weight was 214lb, I changed because I didn’t want to feel the way I felt anymore, and by the time I was a senior, I was 175lb
I became aware of what I put in my body and usually always eat healthy for the most part. I’ve always kept “active” but nothing consistent. Turning 21 was probably where I started going downhill, slowly gaining weight. All the nights of drinking, drunk munchies, and hangover munchies didn’t do me much help. Staying on a diet became impossible for me because of my partying habits and I stopped seeing results since I was 18.

My before picture was taken beginning of March of this year. I tried on the shorts I have on in the pic (which I’ve had since I was 18) and I was mortified with how much weight I put on! I knew I had gained weight, but I was in denial of actually how much I gained. I instantly started feeling depressed of how much I gained, but I knew there was only one solution to fix it and that was losing the weight!!
I cut back on drinking A LOT, got myself a personal trainer which I’ve had for the last 4 months and really, really watch what I eat. I’ve had serval slip ups and was bad when I was on vacation BUT I’m not losing sight of my goals which is 150lb :) I’m learning to love this journey, love doing good things for my body and most of all loving myself every step on the way. I still have a long road ahead of me but I believe this time around I’ll actually make my dreams of being in shape a reality! Consistency is everything!
