So a year ago today I was sat in my hospital room down in Derby waiting to get taken for my surgery. A year since I chose to take control of my life again. I don’t care if you agree with my choice of surgery but it saved my life and that’s all that matters. 12 months and 12 stone down, I don’t recognise that girl from a year ago. I was stuck in a rut, unhappy and had fake friends. A year on and I’ve got a new job, new friends and old friends back. I’ve got so many dreams and I feel I can achieve them because I’m no longer hindered by my weight. Thank you to everyone who’s stuck by me and helped me. ❤️
