First post! So I started this blog mainly to watch my progress in my weight loss journey and to hopefully inspire others to take the right step into a healthier lifestyle. 

The above pic is me, a before and in between, as I’m not at my “after” weight at the moment. The left pic was taken on August 7th, 2014-  ~151 pounds, ~35 inch waist. I used to just eat anything without thinking about it, like burgers, fries, soda, all the classic junk foods. Then I realized that I was almost back to the weight I was when I moved back home from Georgia (I was ~161 pounds, I had a very unhealthy diet of chicken biscuits…) and wanted to change that.

Through reading up on nutrition information and changing my eating habits along with a bit of exercise, the pic on the right (my in between) is me at 129 pounds, 28.5 inch waist on March 23, 2015. I will admit, it’s been a very slow process because I slipped up a few times during that time frame and now I’m very serious about changing my eating habits. My calorie intake is now 1000-1200/day and my diet is mostly veggies, fruits, and green tea or water with the occasional chicken breast, lean sirloin, and fresh fish (salmon, tilapia, tuna) for protein. I track my calories and record my exercises with the My Fitness Pal app and it’s really neat to track my progress and how much nutrition I’m getting through what I eat. 

My goal weight is to try and get back down to 110-115 pounds and would like to have a 25 inch waist or less. I still have a long way to go before I reach my goal, but I am determined to get to it. I will be posting more progress pics later!
