tiniertim: I spent the first 30 years of my life wavering...

tiniertim:

I spent the first 30 years of my life wavering between morbid obesity and extreme morbid obesity.

Lose 10 pounds, gain 20.
Lose 50 pounds, gain 100.
A never-ending upward spiral.

In 2010, I made a decision to lose weight once again. How did I mistakes? How did I not fail this time? That’s what these pictures hide:

I DID FAIL. I FAILED OFTEN AND STILL DO.

But I did not, have not, will not quit. I found a way to forgive myself when I feel short of the mark. When I fail, I fail forward. I learned to see myself as a scientist, learning and growing from failures as much as I did successes. I gave up on perfection and embraced my fallibility.

Perfection is like a wet bar of soap: the harder you try to hold on to it, the more likely it is to get away from you.

What can you do to make your weight loss effortless?
