It is very hard for me to show this. The picture on the left is shortly after surgery. You can actually see that the incisions from my VSG are still bruised. The picture on the right is a few days ago. Now keep in mind that I don’t show skin. Like ever. I’ve worn a bikini twice and kept covered until I was in the water. I’m only showing this because so many people have asked how my stomach looks after losing so much weight. So there it is. BUT…that isn’t my belly button. Wait, what? Yep. In October, I had a tummy tuck. I had that lovely pannis or mother’s apron. It was huge. Like impeding my life huge and the only way to get rid of it and be able to use the gym was to have a panniculectomy. My surgeon only does them with a tummy tuck so, $8k of my money later (loans), I lost 10 lbs of loose skin and gained a new belly button. From there, I began the looooong healing process and then the rigorous process of starting to tone. I think my belly actually looked better a few months ago but I haven’t hit the gym in a while. So, there you go. That’s how I had to get rid of my loose skin and this is where I am now. I wish my body had been able to reabsorb the skin and it had more elasticity but after three pregnancies (including set of PREMIE 7 lbs twins), my belly and abdominal muscles were shot. Feel free to ask questions about the VSG or the tuck. I’m an open book. #vsg #vsginstacrew #verticalsleeve #bariatricbabes #bariatriccommunity #wls #weightlosssurgery #teamWLS #teambariatric #wlscommunity #wlssupport #bariatric #sleeved #goals #weightloss #weightlossjourney #weightlosstransformation #beforeandafter #beforeandafterweightloss #extremeweightloss #gym #gymlife #gymaddict #thefitlife #fitmom #girl #strength #tummytuck #transformation #panniculectomy
