Sometimes I’m shocked to look back and see what a big change my body has gone through just by taking some positive steps to live more healthily. On the left is from 2011, my senior year of high school, weighing almost 190lbs at a little over 5 ft 6 inches. It was spirit week and I remember being uncomfortable in everything I tried on, finally settling on this oversized sequined shirt to go with the 80s theme. Fast forward 4 years and you will find me on the right. That picture was taken at my friend’s wedding last month in June of 2015 and is one of my favorite pictures of myself. I currently fluctuate between 140-150 lbs and feel very comfortable in my body most days. Although I’m not done with my journey of fitness and toning/gaining more muscle (booty šŸ˜) I’m very pleased with how far I’ve come and the hard work it’s taken me. I lost the majority of my weight following a diet of 1400 calories per day and running/walking 2 to 3 days per week.
