I am so super proud of myself. The picture on the left was taken a little over a year ago. The picture on the right was taken this morning. At first you don’t even notice how you change and it isn’t until you look at old pictures that you can see the differences. But the most important change of all was my lifestyle. In the before picture I was leading a very self-destructive lifestyle. I was in a lot of pain and I didn’t realise that eating huge amounts of junk food was just my way of coping with the issues in my life. I was lazy and misinformed. After going to India and doing my first year of psychology at university, I began to discover how amazing life could be if I took control of my choices. Taking action to change my lifestyle was difficult. I knew nothing about nutrition or metabolism or fitness. It took months and months of refining my knowledge by using university resources, the Internet and feeling stupid asking trainers and nutritionists information, before I finally found my groove. I fell in love with the process. Fitness is a dynamic journey and I have never felt better. More energy, more confidence, more strength, more myself… and that is the real transformation.
