I lost 125 pounds in 10 months. Before my weight loss, I was fighting diabetes and high blood pressure. Having a doctor tell you that you are going to have to start taking medications to control something that you can’t, just wasn’t an option for me. It kicked started my “lifestyle change” and I don’t say that figuratively. It is literally a lifestyle change. A diet is temporary and often reversed. This is a change that is permanent. It is not easy, it is a fight everyday to stay on track. I have put in a lot of dedication and sweat to become healthy. I don’t want to be “skinny”, my body type will never allow for that. All that matters to me is that I’m healthy and I have achieved that. I no longer fight high blood pressure or high blood sugars.

A lot of people ask me how I lost all the weight. What pills did you take? Did you surgery? No and no. I lost all of my weight 100% naturally by consuming foods with high protein and low carbs. Exercising was also an important component.

I have a long way to go but I am so proud of how far I have came. I have my days that test me and I don’t always pass, I realize that I am human & the important thing is that I don’t let it bring me down.
