aisselectric: This is actually pretty embarrassing to post, but...

aisselectric:

This is actually pretty embarrassing to post, but I feel like it’s important. So on the left is me in 2012 on my way to my prom senior year. On the right is me last week in the bathroom at work. There’s about a 30 pound difference between the two pictures.

In high school I was pretty miserable in my own body. I had no real confidence, I felt uncomfortable in everything I wore, I ran from cameras, and would never take a selfie, or even dream of wearing a crop top. It was pretty awful. And looking back on who I was still makes me sad.

But now I’m a completely different person. Don’t get me wrong, I still have some confidence issues and I’m not 100% happy with how I look, but I’m infinitely happier. Like it’s pretty insane. Nowadays I take about 15 selfies a day and you literally couldn’t pay me to wear a full length shirt.

I think I wanted to share this with y’all to kinda say even if you hate who you are and how you look, like I did, things can always change for the better. I know that sounds cheesy as fuck, but it’s true. Love yourselves.
