Cancer Is The Best Thing That’s Ever Happened To Me
I am not a clear-cut stereotypical cancer patient, and this confuses people. Instead, I allow them to take in my typical stereotype of privileged young white woman. For a long time, this has worked for me. Sharing our hardships and diseases is never easy to do. However, so much of who I am today is due to my cancer. It has been the most influential and positive guiding force in my life. By not sharing this major part of who I am, I do not let others get to know the “true me.”
