Before: April 2014, the first time in my life I decided to move, 230 lbs

During: October 2015, 187 lbs

Height: 5'4

The first diet and exercise plan that I ended up following through on actually began in early 2015 but I didn’t retake my before pictures because they looked similar to 2014.

I’ve been following this blog since before 2014 and it always made me emotional seeing people take charge of their health. I finally decided to make that change for myself over a year ago and I can say it is worth it. I am not the same insecure, quiet, broken teenager I was.

That said, I am posting this now because it has been a year since the after pictures were taken. I cannot believe I let a whole year pass by and made no further progress towards my goal body. In fact, I’ve gained fat and lost the muscle I’d worked so hard for, at least while still maintaining my size and weight. It is very disappointing because I’m so far from being in the swing of my health and fitness mindset that I am reverting back more to my bad days than my good ones. I need some help to turn it around and part of that is making this public for the first time in my life. Hopefully it impacts someone because I know I thank the people who posted who inspired me when I was down and felt like I could never get to a better point in my life. Even though I’ve hit a rough spot, I would not take back these 2 years of changes for anything. Start now! Go look up exercises and plans and move! It’ll take 3 weeks to get it going and then you’re set to keep going for life!
