#facetofacefriday ✌ #letsfaceit .. food consumes the majority of most of our lives. Whether we eat too much, too little, spend too much time stressing about what to eat, or not caring enough that what we’re eating is bad for our bodies. A lot of us struggle with the idea of food. How does it affect you? For me, food was always an emotional thing for me, a crutch, and a very weak spot in my capacity for self control. I’ve never handled eating well, and I still struggle with it. I would eat when I was sad, eat when I was bored or STRESSED, eat while watching TV, while doing homework, while hanging out with friends, and if I was craving something I would definitely eat it. Basically, eating (actually more like snacking and binging) became an association with many of my daily activities and emotions, and those habits are super hard to break. However, every day that I don’t give up, my self control grows, and my emotional associations with food weaken. The only way to truly break a bad habit is to be honest with yourself, and take it day by day.
