Throughout my weight loss journey, people have stated they loved my positivity. I’ve gone through one of the most amazing years of my life, as well as one of the most confusing and depressing. This last year has been dramatic, physically and emotionally.
I’m trying to make it a point to focus on positivity. I’m sick of letting drama, self hate, and self doubt hold me down.
Here’s the thing. A lot of us do side by sides and talk about how sad we are for the person on the left, that they were depressed, in pain, didn’t have a life, etc. But that was not how I felt on the left. That was a girl who was a couple months post op from VSG. She was making life changes and finding her passion. And even before that, when I was at my heaviest, I had a fabulous supportive family and an amazing guy in my life. I had a great life. And now I have a great life with new opportunities. So here is my apology to the girl on the left. I’m sorry if I belittled you, if I made you have less value. A journey is full of peaks and valleys, but in the end I have always had value, and I need to chose happiness and positivity from now on.
