I started around June/July to take fitness into my own hands. Starting with cardio classes like Zumba I transitioned into strength training. I started eating more whole foods and tried to stay away from too many processed foods. I took a break for about 2 months but my before and during photos keep me motivated. leavingourwarbehind:

I can’t believe I’m actually posting this, but I’m really proud of my progress so far. Almost three weeks ago I totally flipped my lifestyle and started working out daily (a rest day every 6th day) and eating clean, with as little processed foods as I can, and completely cut out caffeine (switching to over 2 liters of water a day) and watching my calories and what I’m really putting in my body. I started this because I finally love myself. I had to love myself where I was to want to get better. I finally didn’t want to do it because I hated the way I looked or anything of the sort, I changed because I want to take care of my body because I love my body. On the scale it’s only 5 pounds difference but it physically feels like so much more. I can’t believe the progress of almost three weeks. It’s incredibly encouraging. And my wife even told me I had “magical hips” today. Hahaha. I’m not where I want to be but I’m well on my way!

Hi! My name is Katy and I’m 18years old. Today I wanted to share my weight loss story with you. Since I can remember I was overweight and really unhappy with the way I looked. I used to binge eat every single day because it was the only thing making me happy, although it lasted only till the moment I finished eating. It was really hard for me to keep to any diet for more than a few days but one day I just woke up and decided this is not how I want my life to be, I didn’t want to just keep dreaming of achieving my goal. The reason most of us fail and give up on our dreams is because of a lack of faith. You have to change the way you think first, then start believing there are no boundaries, and that you can do more than you think! I lost 98 lbs since August 2014 which was really hard work but obviously I have had hard moments on my weight loss journey too. It’s easy to get addicted to losing weight, past few months were the hardest for me but now I’m ready to get back on track. Remember it’s not about eating 100% clean always; don’t try to rush the process or the progress and just stay patient, your hard work will pay off I promise!

You can follow me on my new instagram to see how I exercise and what I eat- katysgoals :)

Email Submission

SW: 111kgs

CW: 76kgs

GW: 65kgs

I started my weight loss journey in October 2013. I hit my highest weight 111kgs so I said “This couldn’t be possible. I need to make a change. I need to change” and I did :)

In 2013 a lot of things happened. Bad and Good things. But I don’t want to talk about that.

Let’s talk about how i lost weight and stuff.

1) I started to eat clean. More fruits and vegetables. WATER and GREEN TEA. I quit eating junk food and stuff.

2) As I was so overweight I couldn’t do exercise because i got exhausted so quickly. So I started to walk (30mins per day). I lost 9kgs in 1 month so I started to do cardio 30mins a day like (tae bo, the biggest loser videos, jillian michaels videos, most of all videos from youtube) But I did something wrong, i didn’t do strenght training and toning and as i lost skin, my arms, above all, stayed loose. So my advice is do cardio + strenght at the same time. Nowadays I do cardio 3 days a week and strength 2 days a week. (1h or 2hs per day)

3) My current weight is 76kgs and my goal weight is 65kgs. I’m only 11 kgs off my goal but i know i can’t lose 11kgs in 1 month, in fact i’m losing sooo slowly but probably this will take me more than 5 months to lose it. But i’m still working hard because in December i have an important party and I want to be fit and wear a beautiful dress :)

So, don’t give up. I didn’t and I won’t. Even though i’m losing weight slowly, or sometimes I gain weight, i’m patient because i’ve already lost 36kgs and i’m so happy about that. Just 11kgs more to lose and i’ll be happy.

I just hope that my next post will be me at goal weight.

See you soon!

itsingenious Height: 168cm (5'6 I think)Starting weight:...

itsingenious

Height: 168cm (5'6 I think)

Starting weight: approximately 73kg, 160lbs

CW: ~64kg, 138lbs.

Hi there, I’m posting this as motivation to myself because I’ve had a bit of a bad couple of weeks in terms of my diet. The photo on the left was taken in February 2014, the photo on the right is from about a week ago, April 2015. Feb'14 was when I first purchased Kayla Itsine’s Bikini Body Guide, and when I swore to myself that I would lose weight this time round. I remember putting on those black shorts, because they hid the rolls on my stomach better and I actually thought they made me look skinnier at the time, lol. After numerous failed attempts at the BBG I finally restarted in March 2015. I’m about 6 weeks in now and it’s the longest I’ve ever stuck to a fitness program (my record previously was 2 weeks before I was like yeah nahhhhhhh)! I was SUPER strict on my diet for the first 3 weeks, and the weight literally came flying off. For the past two weeks however everything’s just been kind of going off - I think maybe I was TOO strict with my diet and something in my brain finally snapped and I just ate junk and binged for days straight. I still kept up my exercises and workouts but needless to say progress has slowed.

I would have honestly given up if this was the same me in Feb'14, but I know now that it’s not about how many times you fall, it’s about how many times you get back up! I’m determined to get my diet back on track and to finish the BBG and to be the better me I’ve always wanted to be! :) I’ll definitely upload a final photo when my 12 weeks is up, and hopefully I’ll be closer to where I want to be!

Can you keep your removed body parts after surgery?
Our bodies belong to us. It’s only natural, then, to wonder what becomes of our body parts when they’re surgically removed. Are we permitted to take home the severed pieces of ourselves as souvenirs? If so, how? If not, what happens to these parts? How are our organs or appendages disposed of once they’re separated from our bodies?

In January, I was at the height of my psychotic breakdowns. Depressed beyond belief. Immobile. And in a very unhealthy relationship.

But today? Gosh…. I feel strong and confident for the first time in YEARS. I’ve been off my anti-depressants for a month, my moods have stabilized, I’m taking the steps needed towards improving my health, I’m meditating daily, and even though there are many things I need to work on in my life— I’m at peace with myself. And I’m very proud of how far I have come in such a short amount of time.

The future is so bright. I am thankful.

girlbrushedpink3

When I started my journey this was the guy I was dating. He was not into wanting to lose weight or get a healthier lifestyle, but once I started to workout everyday and eat healthier it motivated him and honestly, he wasn’t even trying. Once in a while he would eat meals I made with me or come workout with me but it wasn’t a trying effort on his part… AND HE STILL LOST WEIGHT WITH ME! It’s amazing when something becomes a lifestyle you almost forget that you’re losing weight or becoming happier… it’s just a new way of life, and I think that’s something that was the most exciting for me when I lost my weight; that I woke up one morning and noticed all my clothes were too big for me. After a few months it wasn’t me trying to lose weight anymore, I just had a new way of living and my life started having more purpose, I became a happier person and that’s when I remembered “oh yeah, I have completely changed my life around and developed, new, healthier habits”. It’s kind of awesome guys! I never weighed myself every morning for those 5 months, maybe the first month, but after that it wasn’t me “trying”. So stick with it, it gets easier.. it  gets so easy that you actually forget you were trying to reach a goal! lol

These pics are about 15 months and 50 pounds apart. On the left, I was so proud of myself for losing my first 10 or so pounds. On the right, I was so proud of myself for not giving up. This journey has had its ups and downs, but whenever I look at how far I’ve come, it’s all worth it. After college, I slowly changed my eating habits and started seriously exercising. I didn’t do a big lifestyle upheaval, it was more like creating 1 habit at a time. Whenever I tried to change everything at once, I burned out pretty quickly and then have to mentally/physically recover from the effort/failure. I’m glad that I’ve gone slow-and-steady through this process because the changes that I’ve made will stick with me for life. I’m never “dieting,” I’ve just changed my tastes from processed and sugary foods to fresh and healthier options. I train my body, I don’t punish it in the gym. Everything I do now is because I love myself and take pride in my actions.
