avocad-ho:

Everyone is doing their 6 selfies of 2014 but I wanted to do something to show my weight loss journey and how amazing your results can be if you just stick with it!! So here are 6 before and afters of my journey from over 300 pounds to 150-165 (I fluctuate a LOT).

It’s New Year’s Eve and there are about to be a ton of new fitblrs and weight loss blogs run by people full of optimism and hopefulness. I want to offer any and all of you my advice, support, and friendship. Please please please ask me whatever you want. I get a steady stream of messages from people who want to lose weight like I have and I NEVER tire of answering them. I will always be happy to answer your questions (whether private and off of anon or hidden behind that gray face). If you have no support system, I will be that for you. If nobody else believes you can do it, I will. If you just need a friend to vent to, I will listen.

Believe, work hard, reach your goals, and most importantly….

HAVE A HEALTHY AND BLESSED 2015!

chiafitness: Good morning! And a good morning indeed it is....

chiafitness:

Good morning! And a good morning indeed it is. I’ve slacked on putting up any personal posts up for quite some time, but I’m happy to announce that I’m back for the better. I have not posted a progress picture on this website for over a year and a half. Within the course of this time, I have started over at least twice, gained weight, and lost my place in this big loop we call weight loss. However, what I have gained over the course of this year and a half is much more than any number on a scale could ever account for. I lost friends, I moved in with a roommate (who is now my best friend) after living alone for a year, I got engaged, I went to school, and lived. I am not ashamed of my weight gain because I have been busy living. Yet, I still had goals. And this was one of them. A couple weeks ago, after we took our engagement pictures, I decided it was time. Thus, I took the left photo on the first day I hopped back on the horse, mid November. The right photo is from this morning. I couldn’t believe it when IT ZIPPED. This is a minor non-scale victory, but it’s mine. This is not the most impressive before and during you’ve seen, but it’s mine. And this is just the beginning.

As those of you who follow my Instagram and Twitter know, I took a mini break from blogging to snowboard in Austria. I just got home a few days ago, and unfortunately now have a broken arm (which is really cutting into my professional boarding career).

But I am back with many new blog posts coming your way, including a holiday cleanse to make you feel a little less like a Christmas Pillsbury dough boy, and my guide to boarding (or skiing) in Europe for you first-timers! Stay tuned!

smilelivelaughlose787: I’m really nervous posting this because...

smilelivelaughlose787:

I’m really nervous posting this because the picture on the left shows me in a time where I was so depressed, and not treating my body with respect. I hated myself because of what others said about me, not because what they said was true, but because I chose to believe them. I DID NOT lose weight because I hated myself. I DIDN’T start working out because people bullied me. I didn’t start eating healthier because I couldn’t stand what I saw in the mirror, and I didn’t fit into the same clothes my friends did. I lost weight because I LOVE myself, and I wanted to heal my body from all the crap I was putting in it. I know things get hard when people try to convince you that you aren’t good enough because you can’t fit into the same clothes as them, but you always need to remember that unless you love yourself, no amount of weight loss will make you feel better.

People like justkeepbreathing831, riiaeatsright, elefaunt, and oatsnjen taught me that you need to love yourself first! And not to be too hard on myself when I slip up. Thank you guys, you will never know what a huge influence you had on my journey to health.

reh-beh-kuh: Day 365 of 365. It has been exactly one year since...

reh-beh-kuh:

Day 365 of 365.

It has been exactly one year since something clicked in my head and I decided I wanted to be healthier and apparently decided 2014 was a good year for it… And somehow it fucking worked.

I never stick to these things. I’m lazy. I don’t have commitment. I like shit food. And I don’t care enough about what other people think to change that and I never have.

Except somehow I did. ‘Cause I knew I was doing it for me.

And do you know what, I am actually really proud of myself, for doing this and doing it by myself and sticking to it.

I can now run for 30+ minutes with ease and do so at least once a week. I feel stronger and can see and feel muscles where before there was nothing. I’m more confident to skip around on a night out in a little dress with my legs out without being a mess and can quite happily dance the whole night away without having to go outside all the time to cool down. I can run around the playground at break time being the ‘tickle monster’ with the children in my class at school and not exhaust myself. I can quite easily pick yummy and healthy things to eat everyday and still scoff a piece of chocolate cake every now and then without feeling guilty. And I can finally see a decent difference. And I am happy with that. I love looking at myself in the mirror. I’m fucking beautiful.

I’m still not finished bettering myself, but I am happy with where I am now. I really am. Particularly when I compare myself to where I have come from.

That first picture is a literal year apart. Last year on New Years Eve and this year on Christmas Eve… And yes I did wear the same dress and go on the same walk purely for the sake of the photo. STFU.

It’s been a good year. In many ways. But this is the one I can brag about the most. 4 and a half stone down and counting.

2015… come at me.

john0askedmetodance:

2014 has been one of the most difficult years of my life. A lot of things were thrown my way but I believe that I dealt with them in the best possible way. None of you know this but I actually had a baby this year. For multiple reasons I decided that it was best for my sister to adopt him and I now have this wonderful nephew who I love with all of my being. (Maybe a blog post on that later) That being said, 2014 has also been one of the best years of my life! My precious nephew was born, I spent my 20th birthday on a beautiful mountain with some crazy, good people in Montana, I spent a week in Costa Rica on an adventure of a lifetime creating friendships that will last forever, my truck and I traveled over 6,500 miles all over the United States, I was able to work with my dad again in Nevada, made a lot of new friends and was reunited with some old ones along the way! 😊 Also, as I was packing for my move to Colorado I came across a shirt that I had left here before my last venture. Ive posted the photo on the left before but it was taken on the 4th of July! The photo on the right was taken today in the same shirt! That’s a 25 pound difference 😊 I hope you are all as blessed next year as I have been this year! Here’s to 2015!!

For my newer followers, a more recent #transformationtuesday. This wasn’t even my heaviest 😁 As I’ve mentioned before, I used to hate taking pictures, which is why I don’t have many befores. Now I want my Instagram to be a virtual scrapbook of my progress. I’m nowhere near finished but I love where I’ve taken it so far ❤️ It’s not an easy road, but my God is it worth it. I’m stronger in more ways than I could have imagined. This New Year, make a plan to change your life or excel you like never before. I’m right here with you 😊 For a complete story, visit my blog http://horsepowerfit.com/blog or check my bio here on my tumblr. Anonymous questions still enabled, btw!

The summer of 2012 is when my fitness journey went into full gear. No surgery or diet plans, I live a vegan lifestyle and stay active running and playing rugby. I’ve had my ups and downs and struggles since then but I’ve never stopped and never plan to! There is no end goal for me, I will continue to push and transform my body to be the best it can be. My goal now MUSCLES!

Sometimes it’s hard to even remember a time when I was nearly 280 pounds. For the days when I beat myself up about not looking exactly how I would like, I need these pictures to appreciate just how far I’ve come. And I will continue to build muscle and push myself, not for the people who doubted me or the boys who wouldn’t give me a second glance, but to be better then the person I was yesterday. I’m in a serious competition with myself!

mydeluminator:

I’ve plastered this picture over all (and by that I mean 2) of my social media sites, so I figured I might as well put it here, too. I’m sorry to whomever has had to see it three times by now. Haha.

I’m an emotional eater and this year has been one of the saddest, most emotionally stressing years of my life, but I somehow still managed to eat (mostly) healthy and (kind of) work out. I had decided to try to lose 50 lbs this year. More for my health than for anything else, really. And I did it! It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I don’t think I’ve ever lost weight before, honestly. I just gained and gained and gained. But I did it.

Anyway, enough rambling.
