Here’s a Throwback Thursday at it’s finest. The picture on the left is still really hard for me to see, but it’s that very picture that motivated me to make a much needed change in my life. I remember being tagged in this picture back in 2012 and it was difficult for me to even fathom at how far I had let myself go. Losing my mom really took a toll on me and I went into a horrible depression, barely going outside, hardly spending time with friends or family, I isolated myself sitting in my room, eating my life away. I remember walking short distances and literally being out of breath. It’s a disturbing thought. Those facts about myself are very embarrassing to admit but it’s a realization that got me motivated to choose a healthier lifestyle. I’m blessed every day for this journey and it’s truly been the best decision I’ve ever made. Literal blood, sweat, and tears have gotten me where I am today and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
