withxblood:

Transformation Tuesday. Not that I don’t post shit like this all the time. It has been a year since I started intermittently fasting, and it has been six months since if started taking my training very seriously. I’ve got a long way to go to reach my goals, but those goals are also constantly shifting and changing to match my progress. Looking at how much I’ve changed physically and mentally is very encouraging, I almost look like a completely different person, and I certainly feel completely different. Less stress, more confidence, haven’t gotten a cold or any other illness in a year, and I’m much stronger and much leaner. If you’re unhappy with your life, body, mind: don’t hesitate to make positive changes today, because time won’t wait.

New study confirms that respiratory patients benefit from using the Lung Flute

New study confirms that respiratory patients benefit from using the Lung Flute

The Lung Flute requires users to simply blow into it. Doing so causes an integrated reed to vibrate, producing low-frequency sound waves which travel down into the patients' lungs. There, the waves break up the mucus, allowing it to subsequently be cleared when the user forcefully exhales.

What Drives Abortion: The Law or Income?

About 50,000 women worldwide die because of unsafe abortions. Five million more are admitted to hospitals with complications after the procedure. Activists and researchers on both sides of the abortion debate agree that these "back-alley" operations are dangerous for women. It's figuring out the best way to stop them that has been contentious.

Can We Rely on the Private Sector to Halt Malaria in Africa?

In the U.S., if you want an antimalarial, you have to go see a doctor and get a prescription; this ensures that Americans are treated with only the best malaria drugs. But not in most African countries, where private doctors are rare and public hospitals are often far away, and frequently lack supplies and staff.
