There’s about a sixty five pound difference (and cosmetic dentistry thank God) between these two pictures. I started struggling with my weight in high school and sometime within the last few years it started to come off little by little. That’s not the point of this though. When I see that picture on the left I remember being eighteen and flying to Hawaii to visit my best friend but not owning a pair of shorts or a bathing suit. I remember carrying that hoodie around everywhere because I was insecure about my body. This is the only picture of me from that trip. I wish I could go back in time and really take advantage of the adventure because honestly- who cares? Who on their vacation was looking at me in my pink owl shirt? Every time I get insecure now I just think of that. No one is looking at my owl shirt. Or flannel. Whatever I wear now.
