The original pictures were taken right after the new year in 2014. I didn’t truly begin my weight loss journey until June 2014 after coming back from holidays in Portugal and England and I realized just how shitty I really felt. I vowed to feel amazing the next time I went back to Europe. I did go back this summer (June 2015) to Spain at 155 and I did feel a lot better than the year before, but towards the end of the trip I began to feel like shit again from all the drinking and carbs and made it back up to 162 (stayed there for the rest of the summer).
I started at a new post-secondary this fall and since I’ve been here I have stuck to a ketogenic diet and completed Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred to combat the skinny fat look. This regime has gotten me down nearly 20lb in 2 months (Sept.9-Nov-6; 162 to 145).
I still have 20lb to go and the closer I get the slower this process becomes. Even though it has been a long year and a half journey (and I’ll likely have another 6 months before I meet my goal) I just wanted to say to NEVER GIVE UP!! Keep trying new things until you find your stride and ultimately you will find yourself.
