For my new followers who have not yet heard my story, here it is:
After getting hit by a car while crossing the street just a few weeks before my 16th birthday I gained approximately 100lbs within the next year. 100lbs which almost became 200lbs with the next few years due to embarrassment and isolation. After years of feeling trapped in my own body and desperate, I made an appointment for a gastric bypass consultation that I never went through with. When the dr asked me “what else have you tried?” during the consultation, I thought to myself “what else had I tried?” What had I tried that would make me believe it was hopeless enough to allow someone to cut my body open and rearrange my organs only to follow with months of excruciating pain and recuperation? Not enough… I knew I had to give this weight loss thing another shot, a real shot, I had to give it all I got… and that’s what I did! I dedicated my self to what I now call #TheRecipe = #Cardio, #Lifting and #EatingClean and haven’t stopped since. I obviously didn’t just wake up and change overnight but little by little, a little became a lot… and it can for you too!! Don’t ever doubt yourself!! I never imagined when I was walking at a max of 3mph, unable to breathe, feeling like I was going to die, that I’d be where I am now able to jog/run for 30-60 min straight. Don’t discount consistently small steps in the right direction, the first one is the hardest, keep moving!!
