Day 36, 37, and 38: Progress is confusing.

First off I’m just going to start by apologizing. I haven’t posted in a few days, and one of my goals is to post every day for a year, so I apologize. Thursday was a rest day for me. I was so super sick and could pretty much only manage to get up and go to classes and then sleep between my classes. The flu has been going around so I thought that maybe sleeping and resting could help prevent me from getting it. Which must have worked because I woke up Friday feeling much better. So then I had leg day at the gym, which went okay. I wasn’t too happy with the way that my dead lifts and squats felt, but a “bad” workout is better than no work out at all. At least I got my heart rate up. Yesterday was a crazy busy day so I didn’t get to post either. Today is another rest day for me. I go back to the gym tomorrow.

So I took the picture on the left two- three weeks ago before I really started heavy lifting. The picture on the right was yesterday before my leg day at the gym. I’m actually really proud of myself and how I am starting to look. I think most of it is my posture as well. So even though the pictures looks very different, the number on the scale is exactly the same. How could that be? That’s what I mean by progress is confusing. I’ve been putting a lot of hard work into tracking my macros every day and working out/ lifting a lot, so why is the number not changing? I know I can’t base my progress off of the number on the scale, and should be basing it off of how I feel, but that number still discourages me. I just don’t understand.
