I never in my whole life thought that I would post something like this, ever.
When I started this journey I was in a thoroughly miserable place. My job stressed me out, my home life stressed me out and as a result I became a shadow of my former self. I was constantly lethargic, snappy, emotional and I felt like I was stuck in a rut I’d never get out of. I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life miserable, so I decided to make a change.
I honestly can’t believe how much my body has changed in just four weeks. I started off just cutting down on the amount of junk I ate. I realised that I was eating out around 4 times a week and filling my face until I could barely move. I started making my lunches to take to work and made sure I had breakfast too. I started doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred to help ease me into exercise and I found that working out at home gave me the confidence to start at the gym. Since then, I’ve become a bit of an exercise addict. At first I started my journey with the belief that if I was skinny then I would be happy. As the weeks have gone on, I’ve realised that I’m just happy being HEALTHY. I see this as a lifestyle change rather than a diet and that helps pull me through. I can feel my anxiety disappearing, I’m more confident in groups and all round a nicer person. I’ve never been proud of anything I’ve achieved, until now :).
