lezforprez

I’m Rielly. This is my all natural, clean eating, hardworking weight loss journey. I began at 5'9" 291 and finished losing at about 156. I submit here because the comments and notes I get keep me motivated and on track whenever I start losing motivation. It happens to everyone, and there are days where I still feel like binging. But you guys help me maintain and healthy relationship with food, and that is the single accomplishment I am most proud of. Weight loss is exciting and a difficult challenge to overcome but the way I got in touch with my body mind and spirit is the most beautiful thing about my journey. Keep working everyone! You have it in you too.

ohhyeahg:

I’d be lying to you if I told you I was working out this week. I came back from Texas extremely unmotivated like all my hard work was worth nothing because I was comparing myself to others around me. I stopped working out and ate whatever the heck I pleased until today. I woke up and realized my worth and my hard work. I’ve come such a long way my journey is my own and no one else’s!

Today it begins again woke up fueled myself with food and I want to hit the beautiful weather for a nice run and seriously sign up for yoga

Don’t stop your journey it’s not worth it. But if you do remember we all become unmotivated but the real success is overcoming it

A back progress picture to celebrate reaching my goal weight!

I bought these jeans right at the beginning of my weight loss and at that point I couldn’t get them past my thighs, never mind done up! It’s been tricky at times, and I’m definitely going to have to keep working so that I don’t let myself fall back into bad habits, but it’s been so worth it.

A wee side note on what worked for me when I was trying to lose weight:

- My main focus was on eating less (lowering my energy intake)

- I would eat high-protein, low-carb meals (lots of chicken breast, tinned salmon and vegetables)

- I cut out most bread, pasta, rice, potato etc, as well as fatty and sugary foods (aside from chocolate every now and then, for my own sanity!)

- Only once I’d lost most of the weight did I start to focus on exercise and building muscle

I’ve still got a bit to go, but I’m feeling much healthier and happier :)

Are Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Better Than Frozen?

Are Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Better Than Frozen?
As long as people are eating fruits and vegetables, it’s not that important whether they’re fresh, frozen, or canned.

Email Submission

This blog has given me a lot of motivation during the time of need. So I thought I should post my first progress photo.

Two months ago I was diagnosed with Celiac and have been on a gluten-free diet ever since. I have lost about 25 kg (55 lbs) and I’m half way through to my goal weight.

Currently very little time to excersise, but I use Jawbone Up24 to track my steps and sleep. My general aim is at least 10 000 steps and 7 hours of sleep every day.

I also eat very clean - not just gluten free, but no sugar or additivs or any artificial foods. Lots of cooking and healthy desserts.

Most important thing - I have so much energy and I am happy and up all the time.

Amazing to see what 2 months can do.
