Today’s my 21st birthday so I’m taking a good hard look at how far I’ve come :) almost 2 years ago I had no idea what I was putting into my body and after telling myself for years that I wanted to make a change, one summer I finally did. The difference you see here is due almost entirely to diet and logging every meal with my fitness pal, but in the past three months I’ve been almost consistent with going to the gym ;) I know I can do better, and my goal for the future is BE better. I want to eat right, not just “diet”, i want to exercise because it’s fun, not just because I “have to”, and I want to love the person I see in the mirror, not just the number I see on the scale :-*

theshrinkingnicole:

I wasn’t even going to do this this month because I was so frustrated. I ended Feb nearly 5 pounds up. But I went down in pants size, so maybe I built some muscle? That’s what I’m telling myself, anyway. My thighs and arms continue to be trouble spots, but now that I’m able to add some weight/resistance workouts maybe that’ll change.

Man oh man! What a journey this weight loss has been.

I just wanted to share my progress with you guys because I am proud of what I have achieved. After overcoming my depression and coming to terms that I did have a problem, I was able to begin healing. So I wen’t from 305 pounds to 235 (a total of 70lbs lost) and I will be losing until I reach 200.

I went from a size 42 in pants to a 36, from a 2XL in shirts to a Large.

I just want to let others who are going through this hell that it is not impossible to do it. Sometimes you need to kick yourself in the ass to get you going but you will get there.

It also helps if you have 2 of the most energetic dogs at your disposable, HAHA!
